AUREUS CONSERVATORY ANNOUNCES ACADEMIC COLLABORATION WITH
THE ROYAL WELSH COLLEGE OF MUSIC AND DRAMA

Singapore’s Aureus Conservatory to offer Diploma and Professional Certificate courses in collaboration with one of the world’s most well-recognised music institutions.

Singapore, July 2019 – The Aureus Conservatory, helmed by Singapore’s fastest-growing education company Aureus Group Pte. Ltd, today announces its official academic partnership with The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD). As one of Asia’s largest music education groups, this collaboration is part of the Aureus Group’s mission to provide world-class training to all aspiring performers and teachers.

Incepted in 2018, The Aureus Conservatory is the country’s newest tertiary music institution specialising in music education and pedagogy. It boasts a world-renowned Visiting Artist faculty including two Steinway Artists, and the game-changing promise of 100% employability and full-ride scholarships – to be extended to all students who commit to a teaching position with Aureus Group.

With this academic partnership in place, RWCMD will take an active role in co-curating curricula for Aureus Conservatory’s two courses: Diploma in Music (2 years, full-time) and Professional Certificate in Music Education (6 months, full-time). More course information may be found on our website.

RWCMD, the National Conservatoire of Wales, and part of the University of South Wales Group, is an esteemed institution located in Cardiff, Wales. As a leading UK provider of specialist practical and performance-based training in music, it takes pride in its innovative programmes tailored to the demands of contemporary arts and creative industries.

RWCMD will bring its decades of industry expertise to develop and oversee an over-arching quality framework, including annual review sessions to ensure consistency in academic objectives, standards and quality of delivery. Through the engagement of key specialist teaching staff from RWCMD, the partnership will also serve to enhance and ensure the maintenance of high-quality music education for all Conservatory students.

As a result of this exciting collaboration, all graduates from the Aureus Conservatory’s programmes will receive certificates co-developed with RWCMD – a reflection of the gold-standard academic quality, governance and execution of contents as delivered by both parties. This development offers an additional boost of global recognition and academic prowess that reinforces Aureus’ commitment to excellence.

“The Aureus Conservatory was borne of our desire to revolutionise the path of music education in Singapore. We are beyond delighted to be partnering with one of the world’s most established music institutions to realise this vision,” said Mr. Lawrence Holmefjord-Sarabi, Chief Executive Officer of the Aureus Group and Director of Aureus Conservatory. “Together with RWCMD and its wealth of experience and credibility in this space, we will uphold and deliver the highest academic standards, cultivating the next generation of world-class educators and performers right here in our Conservatory.”
